Seminar on Opportunities for Partnerships between Brazil/Latin America & Caribbean and the European Union on Research and Development on Information Society Technologies

- Rio de Janeiro, November 23rd, 2004 -


The Science and Technology Ministry of Brazil and the European Commission organised on 23 November 2004 in Rio de Janeiro the Seminar on Opportunities for Partnerships between Brazil/Latin America and Caribbean and the European Union on Research and Development on Information Society Technologies.

The main objectives of this seminar were:
  • Foster capabilities in the domain of Information Society Technologies (IST) in order to establish collaborative projects/networks between the Brazilian/Latin American and Caribbean and European research communities in the context of the European Union research framework programmes
  • Create awareness on Brazilian/Latin American and Caribbean researchers of the funding possibilities in the context of the European Union (EU) research framework programmes.
